Some of the places mentioned are the Castles at Craigmillar, Crichton & Hermitage and the Tower at Smailholm. Then there are the Borders Abbeys at Dryburgh, Jedburgh & Melrose. There are also the ruins of the abbey at Kelso and traces of Tironsian Abbey, Selkirk.
